Cowboy and I started out on a little walk tonight in the rain - but after seeing the lightning I started doing some thinking about my choice and decided to head back in. I explained to him about how dangerous lightning is - especially near trees or puddles. It broke my heart, more than I can say, to read the tragic story of the 14-year-old girl who wanted to play in the rain and lost her life because of that lightning. I'm so sorry.

Isn't that just terrible? :( I was just hearing about this on the way into work. My prayers go out to the family as well. I pray God immediately swooped up the little girl and brought her Home so she could continue playing :)
oh my gosh, that is tragic. i hadn't heard about it until following your link. i'm broken hearted, too. prayers for that poor, poor family.
oh, I cried like a baby when I heard that story on the news, and now again have tears in my eyes while reading your heartfelt post. too sad :(
