more little things

Just when I thought I was going to lose my mind searching for sock soul-mates, I read on school calendar that it's Wacky Sock Day and mismatched socks are welcome. The angels may not have sang, but my kiddos' mama sure did!

HA! The simple things in life right? When I was in Junior High, we all (the kids) had to remember to SAFETY PIN our socks together! However I think my dad and I were the only ones that did it? But hey, it worked! And they would never tear or rip like you'd think they would. Perhaps we need to get you one of those netted bags, beanie. So you can put them all together in one bag into the wash :)

haha how perfect is that? you should suggest they celebrate wacky socks day EVERY day. i bet you wouldn't be the only mama to be relieved.

This is random, but I was referred to your blog by Erin @ The Thing Is...
I'm looking into digital scrapbooking (have been doing regular scrapbooking for 10 years)...what kind of program do you use? Do you think I can get by with a PC, or do think a Mac is necessary for this type of thing? Thanks for your input!

Hi Kara Jo!
Randomness is more than welcome here :)

I have used both PhotoImpact (many years ago) and Adobe Photoshop CS4. I think Adobe Photoshop Elements is an awesome program to start digiscrapping in. It's fairly affordable and there are tons of tutorials all over the internet that you can use when you come up with specific questions. (I loved PhotoImpact as a program but there was very little for tutorials compared to what Adobe has.)

For what it's worth, I have a cousin with a digital scrapbooking business called Cottage Arts (www.cottagearts.net). She has some great tutorials on her website and blog as well as products and lots of ideas.

I definitely don't think you would need a Mac. I've only used a PC and have never been disappointed with my choice :)

Come back anytime with any additional questions! I hope my answers are helpful for you :)
