Cowboy:
From the mouth of the oldest of my youngest: I like to hunt and swim. I like to look at hunting magazines. My favorite book to read on my own is Toad and Frog. I like how those words are easy for me to read. It's a good book. I like Baby (the pony) and I love her, and love her, and love her. I like to ride her. I pretend I'm a cowboy when she bucks but I don't like to make her buck.
Momma's note: Cowboy was sledding yesterday and his Papa had made a jump at the bottom of a long hill. When the kids would hit the bump they would fly up in the air, land, and keep sledding. At least that was the goal. Cowboy took this opportunity to practice his bucking bronco routine. He would hit the bump - no hands - and try his best to land it. I wish I could have seen it and I crack up every time I imagine it :) This boy makes us smile and laugh with the world because that is what he does. I've really never seen him angry for more then a few minutes and when he is, if we start to talk about what's bugging him, he'll start laughing - he just can't keep his grump on. He has blessed our family so much with his silliness and hard work and I am so grateful to be a daily witness to it all.
PrincessGirl:
All about my oldest daughter - in her own words: I feel good this morning. I really like homeschooling. My favorite subject is math. I like waking up in the morning. I like to be good for you (me, her momma). I like to swim, too.
Momma's note: This girl's sweet heart melts mine daily. She looooves reading and I couldn't have been more surprised to hear her say that her favorite subject was math. She hoards books in her room and sneaks in there to take in a few words whenever she can; especially, though, if she's supposed to be doing something she doesn't like :) She helps take care of everyone and anyone and has a beautiful heart full of love. I love listening to her say her prayers - they are always thoughtful and it tends to be her favorite time to expand her vocabulary so she'll say things that make no sense but it sure sounds pretty ;) Her creativity is one of my favorite things about her and I can't wait to see what this girl will come up with next!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this post! These pictures are great and capture the twins perfectly! I can't believe how grown up they are either. I still remember going to see them the day after they were born and you made me hold one of them (because I was too chicken!) I did good though, right? "one hand under the head and one under the butt." that's what you told me :) And to think many years have already gone by - CRAZINESS I TELL YOU!!!! They're both so well-rounded and some of the most adoring children I know - - which is why I chose you to be such a special part of LT's life :) You and your family are a blessing to EVERYONE!
I love this post, too! Such a neat idea and the new style is great!
i know these people too! i LOVE them. amber truly is one of the sweetest, most selfless beings i have ever known. i cannot wait to see what she does with her life.
and erich? oh, lord, where would be without him? i assure you dave and i would have a lot fewer stories to re-tell and laugh over time and again. :)
As for me, these two little ones have brought so much joy to my life! Jo, you captured each one so eloquently. They are so fun to be around. Today we all enjoyed time on the hill and I got to witness Cowboy's rodeo ride! Wheeee. What fun. They must have gone down and up the hill at least 50 times and showed Daddy how they can stand on their sleds and go down. They are ready to ski!
loving my grandbabies....
