Kidlet Updates

An update, long overdue, but a place to start if one wants to jump back into blogging, right? Eventually I'll even get pictures on here!

Tyger started a new trimester this week - thank goodness! Finals were miserable and he's glad to be done with them for another 12 weeks AND he has a study hall for the first time which is going to be AWESOME.

Cowboy is doing good. happy to be 10, I think :) He's looking forward to spring and mud and getting Baby out of the barn to ride! He spent yesterday afternoon with my dad building a bird house and was in his glory. It was fun to see his finished product and I'm pretty excited for him to get it hung up and see if anyone will move in :)
Bearsie also loves 10 :) She had a big week last week. She overcame all of her fears (and they were STRONG FEARS) and got her ears pierced. it was awesome! She was so scared. So, so scared.  Lollipop got hers done, too, and went first. Bearsie stayed in the back of Claire's because she just couldn't watch. She's terrified of needles and was having her own kind of panic attack.
When it was her turn, she was in tears and held tight to the ClaireBear with one arm and my hand with her other hand. Finally, she looked the lady in the eye and started asking random questions about ear piercing which calmed her down, and the lady pierced the first ear. Her face went from scared to pain/surprised to the hugest smile ever!!! She was like - that's not so bad!! and was completely ready for the second ear which went great. All night long she just kept thanking us for encouraging her and kept saying "I can't believe I got my ears pierced!" it was *really* cute and funny! She's having lots of fun being a little fashionista with her pretty new clothes from her birthday and new earrings. So crazy how grown up she looks these days.
Lollipop is good too! She was just as excited about getting her ears done - and so proud to be wearing "daddy's birthstone." It's really sweet. She worked so hard to be brave for Bearsie. She had such a look of pain in her little eyes after the first piercing. She wanted to tear-up but she held it all back. Wow. What a trooper. I'm glad it stopped hurting so soon afterwards. She's still my little firecracker: sweet and sassy and you never know which side you'll see from her. She follows Cowboy almost everywhere and they are two peas in a pod. They insisted on sitting right next to each other for school today and are doing all of their subjects at the same time. It's pretty cute what good buddies they are. She's just as excited about getting Baby out and can't wait for spring to be in full force. Me neither. They need to get outside!!

LG is doing super, too. Besides a case of the sniffles this last week, he's been healthy since the beginning of the year! I'm SO grateful! He's growing like a weed, talking like a champ, climbing like a gymnast, listening like a two-year-old, and still usually manages to snuggle like a baby when it's rock-a-bye time. <3 nbsp="" p="">
Right now, he's downstairs watching PBS while we do school. I vacillate between feeling SO guilty for letting him watch TV and being SO relieved that we can get some school stuff done without the extra interruption! At least he still gets plenty of play-doh and tractor time in!! :)
