Happy Labor Day

Don't forget to take some time to stop and smell the... flowers

Also in honor of labor day - feel free to comment away on what your worst-ever job was - and your favorite job. It'd be fun to see what people have had to live through, so to speak :)

I'll have to think about this for myself for a bit now - haven't had that many different jobs... I guess I'll have to update this post tomorrow after I've done some pondering.

love the picture! here's my two cents:
worst job: easily the worst three months of my life began two days after college graduation and was spent locked up for three months in an ashram on summit ave. in st. paul. talk about crazy bosses! theresa, or ma devi, as i was supposed to call her, was all kinds of crazy. she yelled at me for no reason, couldn't remember telling me something five minutes earlier and was in all ways verbally and emotionally abusive. NIGHT.MARE.

best job: i think i'd have to say what i've got going on right now is pretty swell. i get respect, trust, friendship, and money to help out two people who respect, trust, and befriended me. :) not too shabby! plus, i still get to write from time to time.

how about you, jo?

That picture is so beautiful! Makes me want to go sit in the field until sunset. :o)

My best job has been my current gig as full-time mommy. It's crazy and hectic and the pay is awful, but the kids are so worth it and I love it.

My worst job was working as a bank teller. I should have known since I could never balance my own checkbook that a job in a bank was probably not a good idea. Thank goodness it only lasted 6 months!

Did you take that pic? Where was that field and I must meet it!
on with the poll...
Worst Job: Probably working in a townhome development (rentals) and cleaning them after the renters had moved out. Although I LIKE to clean, it wasn't always so "fun" after finding out that some people are just a LITTLE MORE SLOPPY than the average bear! yuk!

Best Job: Doing my little side photography gig and doing Coat Check at Kozlak's restaurant. I made SO MUCH MONEY IN TIPS! It was great and with access to the awesome salad bar, didn't get any better than that!

the field was just down the road from us lyssy! better come quick before they pick them all...

worst job: working in the dental office cleaning instruments that they used in nasty teeth (i have some degree of dentophobia, i swear, so why would i work in a place like this???)

best job: the stay-at-home part of my current life. i go crazy, a lot, but i really love being able to spend all this time getting to know my kids and parenting.

wow--u have a great talent Jolene, that picture is amazing!
worst job: fishing dead, descinigrating, large carp out of the marina slips at the marina i worked at in high school. no one else wanted to even help, so i had huge fish net in one hand and garbage bag in the other and it always ended with me having fish gunk all over me.
best job: working at the YMCA. great people, happy job, little pay. :)
