bathroom blunders

I need to know if there's a new fad going on, people. This weekend we had a few things going on and were out and about much more than usual. (Usually we barely leave home, this weekend we were hardly home - more on that all later!)

TWICE this weekend while using public bathrooms, I started opening a stall door to be met with tiny cries of "someone's in here" or jackets that swing into view (and thank goodness, nothing more!). In the first case, the doors were floor to ceiling - there wasn't an opportunity to see if someone was behind it. In the second case, I sure as heck didn't see feet! What the heck?! When did people start leaving these doors unlocked? I don't get it! So, so embarrassing!

In my experiences with public bathrooms - especially downtown - you're lucky if 50% of the locks on the doors even work, let alone the doors shut all the way. And properly.
So I'd be willing to bet that the door you just so happened to try, the lock was probably busted and instead of being on the safe side and trying to hold the door shut (the person going potty) I'm sure she thought she was safe.
Little did she know, peeping beanie was around the corner..
LOL! j/k

Ugh, this is why I DESPISE public restrooms.

That is quite unfortunate, for both of the parties involved. Awkward.
