ernie and the girls

meet ernie.

he's nuts.

not nuts in a crazy way. he's nuts in a boy way. he has an ego, too. if our little people are too close to his girls, he goes crazy after them. it's an interesting way to start the morning - seeing a rooster chase your children.

these are his girls. i <3 these girls. they are docile, shy and i love how they chatter. there is something quaint and peaceful about chickens.

does this not look like a scene from Lady and the Tramp?? :)

and this is my boy - who loves these girls just as much as i do. God bless the little farmers of this world. amen.

Have I ever told you Beanie, how much I LOVE having an awesome friend who lives on a farm? It's seriously a great escape when I come down to visit and get to see all your animals! It's because of your home that I know I'm a country girl at heart and would LOVE to live in the wide open as you do :) Beats the city life ANY DAY!
