last day

Twas the night b'fore school starts and all through the house
all the creatures were scurrying - even the mouse (crap! i thought we got rid of that thing!)
The backpacks were placed by the doorway with care
In hopes that those supplies wouldn't be forgotten there.

Ack. I'll quit with that. I can't believe it's the last day though. A new phase starts in our family with Cowboy and PrincessGirl starting Kindergarten. Tomorrow, Tuesday, just orientation. FarmBoy is coming so I don't have to pick whose class I listen in with. Man - I didn't take stuff like this into consideration when I "agreed" to let them be in separate classes. Even signing up for helping with school parties was tricky cause how do you do one and not the other???

Anyhow - everyone's exciting. Tyger is understandably nervous cause none of his friends that he's talked to have classes with him. I asked him if there was anything specific he wanted me to pray about tonight and that was it - that he has friends in a least a couple of classes.

I'm excited to see what this year will bring - and a little anxious too. I'm sure there will be a few tears when my little babies get on that big bus Wednesday - but right now I'm just too darn excited for them!

Here's to another good year!

Oh - and because sometimes you can't appreciate the present without looking back to see how far you've come...

i cannot believe that my little ty guy is in 7th grade! i hope his year goes much more smoothly than some 7th graders. that's a tough one. he will be awesome, though.
and those little monks are in kindergarten?!?! how did that even happen????? i can't wait to see what their little sponge-brains soak up, and to hear about all they learn. and mostly, i hope they ride their hobby horses to school while wearing googly-eyed helmets on their heads.
love you, everyone!!!

Awww, they are growing up! Hang in there, they'll still be so much fun as they grow and you've still got the little one in the mean time! :)

Oh, man! I can't wait to hear how it went. I prayed for the Minnesota kids today just as earnestly as I prayed for the Wisconsin kids.
Let us know!

I cannot believe those two are starting school! Seriously - time - it flies.

I hope Ty has some friends in class... but if not, I'm sure he's quick to make them!

oh boy - I remember the day before going back to school. I was so excited to wear my new clothes! I still remember the picture of the first day of class of my 6th grade year. It was THEE year of the 'hammer pants' with the matching top and the 'debbie gibson' lookin' hat. Wow. I was workin' it then.......
