There have been a few reasons for my blog neglect. I've been preparing for something. FarmBoy and I made a big decision in late winter that we would home educate our littlest kids this year. The school they were going to was great but we wanted even more for them - and private school is just too expensive.

My prayer is that by teaching and guiding our children at home they will love to learn and learn to love, even deeper. The motto of the curriculum that we chose is Educating for Eternity. I sorta love that :)

Today was Day 1! School got out last Friday so I figured we may as well just keep going since we were already in the swing of things. We all woke up early this morning to get started. Here I am, a few short hours later, and the only thing left is for FarmBoy to do some reading with them tonight!

It was nothing short of thrilling to see PrincessGirl breezing through the pages and getting ahead of the day's plan. It was ... incredible... to have my reluctant Cowboy wrap his arms around my neck and say "You're a better teacher than I thought you would be." My sleepy little Lollipop was out of sorts but she hung in there for most of it and our first day ended with smiles. Now to keep the momentum going... Our family is gratefully accepting prayers about this should you feel so inclined :)
