Mom-Money

I found a new tool to add to my parental arsenal. This may be the best tool ever if what I saw when I woke up this morning is any indication: Two dressed children (the other was still sleeping), two made beds, no clothes on the floors, brushed teeth, and breakfast ready to eat. I never would have believed it possible. FarmBoy has been working diligently with them on keeping their rooms nice and neat but I've always had to remind (read: nag) them over and over until it was done. Not today. Meet Mom-Money. This is neither my idea nor a new idea - it was adopted from an awesome article in Family Fun magazine that I found online. More details can be found here too.
I didn't attempt to make all the cool dollars (personalized with Dad's pic in their version) but found packs of them at a dollar store. Way easier for me :) The kidlets were told that they could earn $3 of Mom-Money for simply having their chores done by 8 a.m. (when school starts). Money can be earned for doing various other chores too. Best of all, though, this money can be redeemed for really cool things! Like staying up late(r). Or going to the park. Or for the diligent child who saves for a very long time - Chuck E. Cheese or a trip to the Science Museum.
My jaw was on the floor when I saw what they had all accomplished before I even got out of bed. I wonder if they make Mom-Money for moms.

Oh my gosh this is the best idea ever! It sounds like it could be quite promising too and WAY awesome! Way to go supermom jr! This is fantastic stuff!
I wonder if my mom will come do this for me and Jeff. We have trouble keeping our bedroom floor picked up.

Wow. I'm going to remember this.
I wonder if it can be implemented for potty training?
