a nesting place
About a month ago, I walked into my kitchen to be startled by a small wren sitting on the windowsill. Adorable, to be sure, but that birdie doesn't belong in my house and frankly, I get a little freaked by things that could potentially fly into me :) My dad was here and he came to rescue me - I mean the bird. He used his hat to corner it, picked it up, and let it go outside. Oh the freedom! (For both of us!) Yesterday, that same little birdie came back to visit. In my kitchen window. Again. This time I hollered for FarmBoy who had to come to my rescue. This morning I'm hanging out with my Bearsie girl and we are truly enjoying watching this little wren make its real home in one of the hidden spaces of the awning over our dining room window. I'm glad she found a place to stay :)

OOOOh. I feel your pain. I wouldn't do well with a bird flying around me like that either.
I bet it's fun to see her building her nest. Soon you will see the little ones doing their thing too.
Happy nesting little wren.
Wow! I love that you have so much nature around you! All the more reason I need to get LT down there again... With a net, just in case. Ha! -lyssypoo
