fighting germ wars

My babes are taking turns being sick this week. Why don't they take turns with things like toys instead, I would like to know? Today is the worst day so far with PrincessGirl having a much higher fever than her brothers have the rest of the week. I've been doing some flu bug reading because, well, it's nice to feel a little in control of crappy situations. Today I came across this helpful tip:
"Eating utensils should be washed either in a dishwasher or by hand with water and soap."
I would just like to tell the CDC - Thanks. I didn't even realize that there could be a third alternative. Even now, I have no idea what that alternative would be. LOL.

HAHA you know who could benefit from this? one of my roommates of households past. :) i, unfortunately, might know the third alternative.
or maybe that's just how i've decided to remember her "washing" skills.

Gross. Have you seen that episode of FRIENDS where Joey just licks the spoon and puts it back in the drawer?

Apparently people just rinse things off and throw them back in the cupboards and drawers? I mean... that's what I do. Wait no, I lied. The cats lick them first. THEN they go in the drawer....They have clean mouths I hear...
