 A few weeks ago, FarmBoy got a phone call from a woman to tell him that she's going to be selling some land. Several years ago we had looked at this same piece of property, fell in love with it, and called her asking if she was interested in selling. At that time they weren't - they were planning on building there themselves one day. We were bummed (although not surprised) and even though it became a bit of our heart's prayer we never really dwelt on it. Her phone call was so exciting.This place is the only other place we've looked at over the years that could feel like home so I told FarmBoy that I thought we should look into it. Last Thursday, we closed on the land. It is ours. The plan is to build our forever home there one day - a few years down the road. It makes me so excited to think of the possibilities!

The first thing out of her mouth, a little incredulous and excited: "Are all these dandelions ours???"

A beautiful, narrow creek winds its way through the property. The water is as clear as can be and the rock bottom a beautiful sight to behold.

 Celebrate!!

 Our home school is called Hollow Maple Academy - named for a beautiful hollowed out maple on our farm. We won't have to even consider changing the name - we found a new hollow maple right in our front yard. (Doesn't it look like a little elf dwelling?)
