shake it

I was ringing up a customer, a nice man, buying a quart of paint and some other things. I asked him, "Want me to shake it?" He gave me a very puzzled look and I said, it would only take a couple of minutes, if he had time to wait a little longer. With a still-puzzled look but a yes from him, I quickly walked to the paint shaker to get it going.

I came back with a paint stick in my hand to see him with an even stranger expression - half smirk, half laugh, much less confusion.

Apparently he had forgotten that he was buying paint - or at least wasn't thinking about that when I asked him if he wanted me to shake it... it was a great confession that left us both laughing. BUT, the best part - he said yes. So even though I might be a little chubbier than I want to be, I still've got it! ;)
