beautiful beans

I was out doing some Christmas shopping and decided to make a little splurge purchase for myself. I haven't had coffee-house quality beans in years. Too expensive to justify their prices. But I couldn't resist picking up a half pound for myself last night. I had them grind it there - perfectly done for my french press. Barely-there slivery pieces filled the bag when she was done. This morning I tenderly scooped my scoops into the press and poured in the hot water. Now, a few minutes later I get to take my first sip. Oh!! Happy morning, world. Happy, indeed.

I ground some beans this morning too! They were my Hazelnut Cream coffee beans - talk about a great cup of coffee. Way better than regular "folgers" - and drinking it while eating a donut only maximizes the goodness!

Ever since I started drinking coffee, about 2 months ago, the quality of my mornings have gone up ten-fold. It's amazing what that lil' cup can do for a person.

Aww, I love it. I seriously don't know if I'll ever figure out why a hot coffee drink from Caribou or Starbucks makes me so extremely happy. Ah well!
