confessions of an oft-frazzled mom

Amy - on a post, a few posts ago, where you made the comment about what good kids I have... well, I sputtered and laughed when I read it. I thought I better set the record straight.

While my babes can be very, very good - they are also incredibly... devilish! :) (FWIW, I choose to blog more of the sweet things because in the years ahead, those are the things I want to remember most. It might also have something to do with some kind of coping/memory mechanism.)

At lunchtime - when it is my little ones and me - and I've already had the longest day ever - I pull out their plates and line them up. We have flower ones, a Bug's Life one, and a Taz (tazmanian devil) one. When the food's all on the plate and I'm handing them out ... It gives me a weird level of satisfaction to give my naughtiest-child-of-the-day the Taz plate. It's almost like an award. Luckily - they know nothing of it! LOL! And please, let's keep it that way - I hate to think that they're actually vying for this plate!!

So this is how you tell me? THIS? A BLOG? I knew there was a reason I always had that plate and the rest of you would get the nice 'formal' ones with real silverware. And to think that I thought I was just a SPECIAL GUEST!

Oreos are just to butter-me-up aren't they?

And here this whole time I thought that was how you made it look so easy! When I see them they're always so well-behaved and sweet - so that's how I'll always think of them. :-)
