happy monday everyone...
i'm feeling guilty for not having blogged for awhile again. it seems so logical that with all those kiddos, stuff would just come to me. so why doesn't it? anyhow...
to my cheesehead fans: i'm sorry for your loss. truly. i actually believed that we'd be seeing your colors at the superbowl.
to my fellow cold-weather dwellers: hope you managed to stay warm this weekend. my darling sister-in-law and i went shopping saturday morning. i STILL cannot get over how busy Target was. a salute to all of you who braved the weather that morning - and a double-salute to all of you braving the grocery store yesterday. i thought it only got that busy at holiday time. zoikes! can't keep a Minnesotan indoors for too long, i guess.
to my darling Kelly: happy belated birthday - i thought of you all weekend and hope that your little time away was amazing!
to all women out there reading this: i need your help. FarmBoy's birthday is next week. i do not know what to buy this man. i'm looking for techniques to use on him to get him to spill his guts about what he wants. or something like that.
to all of my readers: thanks for stopping by. really. it makes me feel very special to know that despite all the craziness that might be going on in your own life, you care enough to stop in for a moment or two. so, thanks.

Hmm.. I'd have NO idea what to get FarmBoy! So my best of luck to you in finding something perfect! Maybe scratch offs? Or one time I bought a 6-pack of beer for a friend of mine and wrapped each individual bottle, then put a label on it on with "You know you're 30 when..." quotes. But maybe for FarmBoy you could label the bottles with 29 or 30 reasons why you love him :) (depending on how old he is of course, I don't know the year he was born! ha!)
first off, i think you are entirely too optimistic about the shopping situations. ICK! sounds like a nightmare for me. i'm glad you survived it and lived to talk about it.
as for mr. jer, what about a fun night at the movies? a gift certificate for the two of you to go catch a flick at the IMAX and then dinner at red robins, finished by dessert at home.
interepret however you please.
also, i love lyss' idea.
i like lyss' idea too. i wonder if she's bored enough at work to start coming up with some label ideas... ;)
ha ha ang! i can't belive you just said that. you!
well, we've got that double date on saturday with you and dave... that's probably as close to a night out as we're going to do. plus we always have even more fun when we go with someone else too.
although - the movie idea is a good one. i like it. may have to do that party some late evening.
I also went to Walmart and Byerly's Saturday and could not believe how many people were out. We only have to go about a block otherwise we would not have braved it!
As for presents...I'm awful at this, so I really don't think I can be too much of a help. I usually always go for gift certificates, but then again that may not be the best choice for your hubby.
Jolene, I have no good ideas except getting a baby sitter , out of your home. Make a wonderful meal, add a bit of wine, and oh yes-meet him at the door in a necktie !! Embarrassing coming from an old auntie!! Well, I never tried it but I read about it!!!
I enjoy your blog almost daily. Judy
You guys all rock! I wonder if I could do a little of each idea. That could be fun. And then say happy birthday from my blogfriends :)
Judy - your idea especially rocks and I suggested it to Jeremy last night who thought you were on the right track! Ha ha! AND, if you haven't tried it... what are you waiting for ;)
