SquishyBaby is about to be renamed to MeToo... I just haven't quite gotten to the point where I can give up calling her a baby. But she loves to do everything that her older sister and brothers do. Everything. The good and the bad. Last night it dawned on me, though, one huge benefit of this.
SquishyBaby and PrincessGirl share a bedroom. PrincessGirl has always been a little saint when it comes to bedtime - mostly because of her blankie and her sumbthucking. SquishyBaby has seen firsthand what it means to go to bed at night and to lay there quietly til she falls asleep. Last night when I tucked her in, she was bouncing as hard as possible - animated and happy. I was certain there was no way she'd be going to sleep anytime soon but I wanted to keep her on her schedule. After a few extra hugs and covering them both up a few extra times, they laid their little headies on their little pillows. The end. Thank you PrincessGirl for teaching her this one very special little thing.

Well I have to commend you on sticking to a schedule because I know many who do not and all heck breaks loose down the road. Big Sis is a great example. If you're worried about the thumb sucking, and both of them do it, maybe make a sticker board and let them know that every day they don't do it, they get a sticker. And after so many in a row, they get a "prize." Hang it where they can see it. Little incentive :)
And if SquishyBaby does NOT suck her thumb, still do the board for big Sis. LOL! (I got lost in my own story)
gaul, such a good suggestion, lyss! i can see it working.
as for the situation, god bless that little am. :)
