mad mom

While at work, I got a genius idea to run to Sam's Club tonight after picking up the kids.

Dumb. At least as dumb as wearing a tank top in January.

The kids were hungry and c r a b b y. One wanted in the cart, one wanted out of the cart, one wanted this treat, one wanted to see that one more time.

By the time we got to the way-too-long checkout I was, shall we say, tense. The checkout was the icing on the cake though. It was ridiculous and the kids' patience slipped out the door with mine. I crabbily put them all into their seats in the van and loaded up our handful of items. I told everyone I didn't want to hear a single peep until we were home.

Mom is mad, mad, mad, mad -- came the little "jingle" from behind me. LittleBoyBlue started singing Dave style. It was the funniest thing I've ever heard and even I, in my grouchy mood, could not help smiling and laughing. Glad he has a sense of humor in even the darkest times :)

LOL! That is the best Ever!!! Not that you were at witt's end, but that he started singing and found the humor. and it's TOTALLY something Jeff would do to me! It's how he makes me smile when I'm down - makes up some weird little jingle that makes absolutely no sense! Usually it's something about a monkey and a blue dishwasher. LOL!
