I took the kidlets out on a photography-shopping mission to Goodwill yesterday. I was browsing through the curtains looking for backdrops and from behind me a voice asked if they were all my kids. I get this question rather often - and when they don't say it outloud, you still know they're wondering it - so I answered with an awkward-sounding yes.
I turned around to find a sweet older woman with great intentions behind her question. She explained to me that she had just left the Senior Center earlier with a tray of cupcakes. She wasn't sure why she had grabbed them but decided that she would give them to a family she saw that morning while shopping. Well, we got to be that family. It was the sweetest gesture. The kids thoroughly enjoyed their dessert last night - and it put a smile on my heart the entire day.

So very sweet. I love the grandparent types. :)

I LOVE OLD PEOPLE! er.. "elder" people. -wink-
That is just the most precious story. And as much as she put a smile on your heart, the kiddies probably put a GINORMOUS one on hers as well :)
