We had a slightly tension-filled morning yesterday trying to get our ducks in a row so I could get to Angie & Dave's to help paint. Finally it was time to leave and everyone was in the van. I muttered that I would be stopping for coffee and the little ears that couldn't hear anything all morning were suddenly ALL ears wondering what treat they could get. PrincessGirl, in her sweetest plea-ing voice, asks "Can we get cheesy tots?" Me, "I'll think about it." A few minutes later she reminds me that she's still wondering and I answer the same way. Before I can even get the van turned around she asks one more time and I said, slightly frustrated, "What did I just say? I said I'll think about it." With her sweet voice still on, "Mom, when you're done thinking, will you please say yes?"
They got cheesy tots. Mom finally smiled. :)

LOL! I just love hearing what the kiddies say! It just blows my mind how clever they are. I can picture her cute little innocent face too, saying it. I've never had a cheesey tot, but boy does that sound good right about now! My oatmeal this morning just didn't cut it...
