FarmBoy started softball again last night! He hasn't played since before the kids were born - maybe not even since we've been married! When I found out that he was playing, I was elated. I'd be able to take the kidlets to watch and cheer on Daddy AND I knew he'd be able to do something he really enjoys for a break from the store and farm.
Last night was pretty much everything I had hoped for. Got the kids all dressed up, picked up some grub and sat and watched him play for awhile. Okay, wasn't entirely perfect - I did a much better job sitting than the kids - and I think I only saw him at bat twice cause I was watching the kids more than him! Ha! :) It was still great though. And, in his second game - he got a homerun and a triple! *Sigh* My hero...

*sigh* The season of softball has begun and hero's are reborn. hee hee! I'm sure FarmBoy likes to know his fans take up 80% of the crowd too - that's how I'd look at it! ha!
oh my gosh, SO FUN! dave and i really want to come watch a game. i bet the kids love seeing their daddy out there, too!
That does sound like a pretty great night.
