I need to learn to listen to my intuition. I'd be much better off if I did. This morning when I got up, I started with all of my normal morning stuff like getting breakfast made, dressing SquishyBaby, etc. In the back of my mind I told myself, no less than 8 times, go take a shower. Your renters will be here today to pay for their farmland rental. I knew this absolutely - not because they called and said they would be coming - I just knew. I'm sure you see where this is going. I was working on laundry - dressed in a tshirt (braless) and pj pants - no shower - haven't brushed my teeth yet - and someone was knocking on the door and the dogs were barking towards the yard. UGH! I snuck to the window, sure enough there they were. I ran upstairs and yelled out the window that I'd be right down. I found a bra but said screw-it about the rest of the way I was dressed. Luckily - they're one of the nicest families we rent to - they didn't care at all that I was a mess. Only I cared. All I know is this whole thing would have gone so much smoother if I had just listened to myself and I.
Have you ever gotten "caught" being a near-sloth? Or at least feeling like you look like one?

Ohhhh yes, many a times! In fact every weekend day when Adrian is at work you can find me with hair sprawled every which way on my head, a sweatshirt and cut off pants (no bra of course), glasses and absolutely no makeup on the face. Thankfully, we don't get too many visitors up here!
i have no stories (purely because i'm having a hard time thinking) but you definitely have my sympathy!
Ohhhhh yes. The worst is when you get out of the shower and the doorbell rings. I usually don't answer if that happens (if it's unexpected, obviously). I figure, my house, my right to get DRESSED before I allow company in!
Wait...the ACTUAL worst is a Sunday afternoon whoopie session getting interrupted by the doorbell. Talk about a mood killer when Gladys the neighbor wants to borrow our staple gun.
