of midnight dates... and all that comes with it

So sweet DragonRider finally relented and let LittleBoyBlue come sleep by him tonight. Woe is he. LBB proceeded to (insert word of choice) all over his bed. Ugh! Luckily FarmBoy and I were still awake so I got some help getting that all cleaned up. FarmBoy and DragonRider went off to sleepyland in other parts of the house while LittleBoyBlue and I hung out in the bathroom. After many more episodes, we eventually decided it was safe to sit on the bed for awhile again. What started out as a ucky-eww night ended up being kind of sweet. We read some library books together and got a really nice chance to hang out - just the two of us. Yes, so maybe the circumstances were less than desirable and perhaps tomorrow will really drag - but at the moment, I'm glad to have had a chance to snuggle up with him a little more than usual tonight.
