Saturday I was given the opportunity to visit my incredibly talented quilting cousin, Kelly. She took me under her wing and helped me take some material that I had used for baby-tying when little SquishyBaby was oh-so-tiny and transformed it into a quilt top that I can give to her one day. She was a perfect teacher - taking charge to make sure things were done correctly and yet giving me the confidence I needed to try it. I'm SO not a sewer but I sewed for hours that day - and enjoyed it. A lot. :) I can't wait to see it all put together but here's sort of what it will look like... We will be tying it with some pretty red embroidery floss to help carry the pink/red shade through the whole quilt - and the border/back has all the same colors as my main pink pieces - which I was VERY excited and surprised to find! How fun! THANK YOU KELLY!!!!!!!!!
