christmas cookies

To FarmBoy's dismay I did NOT inherit my mother's love of keeping house and baking. (Truly, dismay may be an understatement.) But I was strongly considering making Christmas cookies today. I bought a roll of gingerbread cookie dough from my favorite bakery - Pillsbury ;) It's been refrigerating for a few days now as I gain the energy to try cutouts. I went into my box of cake decorating/cookie cutters and pulled out everything I had...
a baby rattle
a baby buggy
a cross
a music note

aye! Maybe we won't be having gingerbread men after all.

yeah i'm sure it would be fine til saturday - although i was thinking of maybe doing "ginger tunes" and having that the new family christmas cookie! lol! it could be a zany new tradition.

but first i have to find that cloth-covered pastry board that i yelled at jeremy for getting (i think it might actually come in quite handy for this project!)

oh and amy - that's actually what i wanted - but i didn't see it. ACTUALLY what i REALLY wanted was the little sugar cookies with the christmas trees/rudolph's as a little image inside them. plus, they're really yummy!

i'm the anti-martha!!!

Personally, I think you can celebrate Baby Jesus by making him rattles and buggies.

Erin, I like the way you think! That never even crossed my mind but I think you're on to something!

Also, I just talked to Ang on the phone - I think Ginger Tunes might be worth a shot. And then I shall decorate them all with Christmas Carol themes... (this is all very ideal - I'm not sure if it will become a reality). But if I do, I shall do an LDB just for you - kidding! I'll do one with bells for "I Heard The Bells on Christmas Day."
