- They were playing "our" song at the gas station when we got there.
- Picking out treats for our tea party the next day.
- Demystifying who takes the money when no one's at the bank.
- Driving around Farmington looking for the library and discovering LOTS of houses with pretty Christmas lights.
- Watching the clock on our way home and learning about numbers and time.
sweet little evening
Last night I had to make a semi-emergency run to the bank (Farm Business needs all applicable deposits in by the end of the year) so that FarmBoy could take the van to work with him today to get some repairs done. I wasn't looking forward to venturing out all by my lonesome but then a little voice came out of the Blue - "Can I come?" Yes, yes, yes! So maybe he'll go to bed a little (a lot) late tonight but we can have a special hour together. We gathered what we needed to get all of our little errands done and jumped in the van. For the sake of keeping this short and simple, the highlights:

Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol :) I know it's not a typical parent/kid song but we love it - it's ours. AND he knows it! When he heard it over the loudspeaker he got all excited - Mom, it's our song!
